ECOFAB was born within Felino SA, a company founded in 1936 with 80 years of tradition in the iron and aluminium foundry sector, with the aim of designing and producing equipment where design and high performance are essential values.
The MARIE and ISAAC pellet stoves produced by ECOFAB, as well as having a unique design that emphasises cultural and artistic inspiration, are made entirely from cast iron, which gives the equipment greater quality and durability. They are built on the basis of decades of experience and with respect for sustainable practices.
Developed ecologically with a view to keeping the environment safer and providing better air quality, MARIE and ISAAC stoves are fuelled through pelletsThis is a solid, granular fuel made from leaf waste, wood fragments and sawdust, with lower carbon dioxide emissions. With a burning potential of up to 80% and lower emissions of toxic gases, they contribute to maintaining a cleaner, more airy environment. This initiative to integrate quality and sustainable practices made it possible to obtain the ECODESIGN 2022 label. Â
The Ecodesign 2022 certification establishes criteria for reducing the impact of toxic gases in the atmosphere from burning the fuels that power the various energy-related equipment. This Europe-wide initiative, which has been compulsory since January 2022, has already been incorporated into ECOFAB products since its initial version. The standards established by the Ecodesign 2022 label are based on four pillars:
- Equipment
- Installation
- Fuels
- Smoke extraction
Equipment with the Ecodesign 2022 label provides greater efficiency and savings, obtaining maximum heat in the burning process while using the least amount of fuel. The fuel, the pellets, must be ENPLUS certified, a label developed by the Biomass Association with the aim of inspecting and guaranteeing the quality of the biomass, monitoring all stages, from manufacture to transport to the end consumer. With regard to smoke extraction, it must comply with the installation rules, and it is recommended to check that the product is switched off after use to avoid the risk of poisoning and fires.
