In recent years, with the growing wave of fires violently destroying thousands of hectares of forest in several countries, sustainable practices have taken on a more effective profile, mainly as a result of corporate initiatives.
ECOFAB reaffirms its commitment to manufacturing excellent products and contributing to improving the environment. As a result of the serious fire that hit the forest adjacent to its factory in July 2020, it has taken the initiative to invest in reforesting this area.
At the site of this fateful incident in Sobrado, we now find 579 growing trees that include birch, American oak, national oak, common cypress and bastard sycamore. "People who don't support trees will soon live in a world that doesn't support people".

ECOFAB's vision of contributing to a sustainable future is based on its mission to develop innovative products while respecting the environment and improving processes that guarantee the well-being of future generations. It is on the basis of these principles that it has chosen pellets as the power source for its main products, the ISAAC and MARIE stoves.
Pellets are a source of fuel produced from wood waste and sawdust, with low emissions of gases harmful to the environment. The use of this product over others, such as wood or gas, proves to be advantageous in several respects, including:
- Easy to access, as it is a raw material that is constantly found in nature;
- The production of pellets does not depend on cutting down trees. They are products made from leftover wood bark found in forests;
- They offer greater security because there is no risk of pest infestation, and they can also be easily packaged and transported in larger volumes, which makes logistics easier when you have to travel long distances;
- Low emission of ash and polluting particles when burning;
- It is less expensive for consumers than other fossil fuels;
- It is a renewable fuel which, because it is made from extremely dry wood, makes combustion more efficient and long-lasting.
In this way, it can be seen that the characteristics of pellets are extremely advantageous in environmental and economic terms, and also make them more efficient when used in equipment developed with the most modern technologies, such as ISAAC and MARIE stoves, which take full advantage of these characteristics.
In addition, removing this waste from forests to make pellets significantly reduces the risk of fires, thus contributing to the balance of the ecosystem.
